Costa Maya Local Food and Drink Options
As Costa Maya is primarily a tourist region and is for the most part a manufactured cruise port that is relatively isolated other than Mayan ruins and fishing villages surrounding the port area. These are the local food and drink options for both in the cruise port area as well as those available in nearby Mahahual (5 minutes away) along the Malecon waterfront.

Cantina Latina

Cantina Latina is one of the main restaurants and bar in the Costa Maya cruise area and is the one with the swim up pool bar. They have typical Mexican food (nachos, tacos, fish, ceviche, guacamole, etc.) and they also have traditional American options (burgers, salads, etc. ). There are mixed reviews about the food, service and prices and most caution others about the the prices (listed on the menu in Pesos) and to check your bill because several people have been significantly overcharged with no explanation. While you are dining / drinking they are Mexican wrestling (Lucha Libre) matches on stage as well as dancing.

Café México in a local coffee shop in the port area that offers hot, frozen or iced coffees. They offer Starbucks beverages as well as authentic Mexican coffees.
