This is a list of shore excursion activities in Nassau that can be done for a fee and usually require prior planning or reservations. Some do allow last minute reservations for walk-ons.

Atlantis is a very busy and very noise venue. During most days the cruise crowds take over the property.
Beach day is for the main beach. You will not have access to the Cove or Paradise Beach or the Lagoon Beach.
Atlantis is cashless during the daytime. Bring a credit card and ID.
Beach break
There are many beach break options both through the cruise ship and on your own.
The cruise ship shore excursions can sometimes be rather expensive and leave you with limited times to enjoy the beach due to the logistics of getting large amounts of people from the ship to the beach. However the benefits to scheduling a beach break through the ship are they guarantee that you make it back on time, typically include food and/or drinks and the transportation to and from the beach is provided.
You can also do a beach break on your own, whether it be through a local provider or literally on your own. Local providers will provide similar things to what the cruise ships provide although the quality may be different, either higher or lower. Transportation is sometimes lower however they can bring you to less crowded beach areas and include better food and drinks. Going to a beach break on your own means you have to do all of the planning and legwork but you get to reap the benefits of your own choosing. You get to choose the beach, what you want to eat and drink and when you get there and when you leave. It is also the most flexible and cost effective option. Blue Lagoon Dolphin Swim by Dolphin Encounters

A scenic boat ride that takes you to and from Blue Lagoon Island departing from the Paradise Island Ferry Terminal. The Beach Bar offers a drink menu including frozen pina coladas and daiquiris, a selection of local and imported beers, mixed drinks, water, sodas and Sky Juice (a Bahamian specialty) at an additional cost.

Snorkeling Excursion- Blue Hole Watersports
Blue Hole Watersports provides the highest rated snorkeling excursions in Nassau.
The trip is 2hrs including travel time and you will be taken to the most beautiful reefs surrounding the island.
There are 3 trips daily at 9:30am, 12pm and 2:30pm, please arrive at least 15 min prior to departure to be fitted with your equipment. The price includes equipment (no towels), soft drinks and water. They accept cash, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and Diners Club. However, there is a 5% additional charge for credit card payment and you pay before you board the boat. They do not require a non-refundable deposit to hold your reservation, and take your word as your deposit. All they ask is that you notify us 48hrs in advance if you need to cancel so they can let someone else make use of your seat.
They require a minimum of 2 persons per booking for these trips. Their boats hold from 8 to 10 passengers depending on size. Because they cater to small groups, they are better able to give you the special attention you deserve. If you are a little nervous at first, they will work with you and do everything possible to put you at ease so you can enjoy this experience. This is one advantage of a small group as opposed to a larger boat which carries 50 or 60 passengers at a time. Also they are better able to keep an eye on each guest in the water at all times, and their captains are certified life guards so you are in safe hands with Blue Water Watersports.
Sailing - Barefoot Sailing Cruises
Barefoot sailing is a small cash business and requires an upfront deposit and the remainder to be paid in full upon arrival. Credit cards are not accepted. There are two captains, Captain Randy and Captain Travis. Both have great reviews but be aware that Captain Randy runs a tight ship and is rather direct and particular about how things are done and handled on his boat.
“1/2 Day Sail & Snorkel Adventure”
Enjoy 3-1/4 hrs. of sailing and snorkeling fun! During this cruise experience about 1 1/2 hrs. Of actual "turn-off-the-engine-and-sail" time, and spend about 1 1/4 hrs. snorkeling - at a gorgeous coral reef, with lots & lots of fish in a maximum water depth of about 12'. Full snorkel gear & professional instruction are provided, and during the entire cruise there is unlimited complimentary fruit punch, iced tea, lemonade, and bottled water. After the snorkeling we serve cheese & cracker trays and during the sail home there is our delicious, unlimited complimentary Rum Punch. Bring a towel! Usually 9am-12:15pm & 1-4:15pm. “All Day Island Cruise”
An amazing 6 hour cruise with our famous barbecue! Snorkel on a coral reef and visit a secluded beach. This cruise includes about 3 hours of actual sailing time, and about 2 1/2 hrs. at a lovely secluded beach on nearby Rose Island (8 mls. East of downtown Nassau). During this scenic cruise you sail past all of our nearby islands, and have lots of time to unwind! While at the island spend your time how you please - beaching, snorkeling, swimming in crystal clear water, or simply relaxing on your own sailing yacht !!! The snorkeling on this cruise is great with beautiful coral formations and lots and lots of colorful reef fish. You can also pay by the hour for shorter trips, for example if you would like a shopping trip to buy groceries, or you would like to go souvenir shopping. The price for this is $60 per hour.

Taxi & Tour Fares
All of the taxi fares are in accordance with the ministry of public works and transport. The zone rates from the airport to Paradise Island Atlantis for the conveyance of the first 2 passengers it's $32 + $1.00 for the bridge toll. Each additional passengers is $3.00 per person.
Example: 4 passengers from the airport who are going to Atlantis, the fare would be $32.00 for the first two passengers & $6.00 for the additional 2 + $1.00 for the bridge toll. =$39.00 dollars.
The zone rates for the Cable Beach area also which is $18.00 for the conveyance of the first two passengers and each additional passenger is $3.00 per person.
Example: 4 passengers from the airport who are going to cable beach, the fare would be $18.00 +6= $24.00. You are also entitled to 2 carry on luggage per passengers. Each additional piece is $0.75cent. Golf bags are $1.75 each.

The tours are approximately 2 hours for a regular sightseeing tour. If you would like a combination tour which we stop at the fish fry for lunch & visit the Ardastra gardens marching flamingo show which starts at 10:30am it can last up to 4 to 5 hours.

Ardastra Zoo, Garden and Conservation Centre
In the heart of Nassau, more than four acres of lush tropical gardens are inhabited by a variety of animal species, including the national bird of the Bahamas, the Caribbean flamingo. Ardastra Gardens, Zoo and Conservation Centre was created by Jamaican horticulturalist Hedley Edwards in the 1950’s. He developed the picturesque and exotic gardens as a nature preserve, later bringing in flamingoes from the southern Bahamas. In 1980, the gardens were purchased by Norman Solomon, whose passion for wildlife and conservation education inspired him to incorporate more animals into the gardens and create a boutique zoo. Today, thousands of visitors visit annually to marvel at the tranquil, restorative gardens; enjoy close encounters with our collection of over 135 animals; and admire the long-legged flamingo beauties National Geographic has called “Ballerinas in Pink”. van drops you off at our waterfront home-base, located on the west side of the British Colonial Hilton Hotel, just a few blocks from the cruise ship port. Here you will be assigned a Segway, meet your tour guide and receive a brief orientation and personal training. You will be surprised at the ease with which young and old alike learn to master riding the Segway.
Now it’s time to experience first-hand the Segway’s amazing abilities as you and your Segway roll along scenic Nassau Harbor toward the sights and sounds of the colorful collection of local restaurants and bars known the world over as “The Fish Fry”. Your new found skills are apparent as you then head to the open fields of Clifford Park for a great view of historic Fort Charlotte, located atop the hill above you. This tour is a quick, exciting adventure into the underwater world without getting wet ! Starting off they take you for a Harbor cruise between Paradise Islands and Nassau seeing all the houses of the rich and famous along with the downtown area and cruise port. Scuba Diving
Stuart Cove's Dive Bahamas
Stuart Cove's Dive Bahamas is Nassau's leading full service dive resort. Originally opened in 1978, the operation has grown to a fleet of seven dive vessels, with five of the boats over 40 feet in length. Located on the southwest side of New Providence Island, Stuart Cove's is in the ideal physical location to take advantage of the diverse underwater geological formations. As such, dive sites are available for divers with no experience all the way up to expert-level dives including four new shipwrecks we have helped place in the last two years.
A wide spectrum of diving activities is available. Holiday travelers who have never gone diving before will enjoy the 3-hour "Learn To Dive Program". In this program guests will be introduced to the equipment used in the sport of diving in a swimming pool, receive an introduction into the basics of diving theory, and then complete their first ocean dive. All of this is done under the supervision of a professional dive instructor who is working exclusively with a small group of guests.
Experienced divers can participate in up to 5 dives a day. Two dives are offered in the morning, with two additional dives in the afternoon. An optional night dive is available on selected evenings as well. Dive sites encompass steep vertical walls that plummet to 6,000 feet of depth, shallow tropical reefs, 13 different locations containing ship or airplane wrecks, and numerous locations that were used as underwater movie sets for feature films.
The feature activities at Stuart Cove's for our divers is our "Extreme Shark Adventure". The Shark Adventure program is a 2-tank dive trip that takes divers on an underwater encounter with Caribbean Reef Sharks. On the first dive divers participate in a "free swim" with the sharks along a beautiful wall. On the second dive, the group forms up in a semi-circle on the 50-foot bottom and watch while a professional shark feeder enters the water with a box of bait. Upon reaching the bottom, the feeder begins feeding the sharks with the aid of a pole spear. To say the sharks come close to the divers is an understatement - they are everywhere!
For cruise ship passengers they offer both morning and afternoon 2-tank dives as well as an afternoon Shark dive. They provide complimentary round trip bus service from the cruise port. Two key things to determine when scheduling a trip with Stuart Cove is when your ship is docking and when it is leaving. The morning bus leaves the port at 7:45am (you must be there 15 mins in advance). The afternoon bus leaves for Stuart Cove at 11:45am (you must be there 15 mins in advance). The morning dives return to the cruise port at 1:15pm, the afternoon dives return at 5:15pm and the shark dive returns at 6:20pm.

Bahama Divers
Whether taking your first plunge after completing your Open Water Certification, looking for a new adventure for the entire family, or diving in for your 1000th time, let Bahama Divers take you to that special dive site. Open 7 days a week and running two daily dive trips, Bahama Divers will make sure you log some bottom time! Two tank morning dives and single tank afternoon dives are the normal schedule. Our more advanced morning dives are reserved for cerfied divers and PADI students while our afternoon dives include first time Discover Scuba students.
Bahama Divers also provides round trip transportation but this must be arranged for at the time of booking as they also pick up from the local hotels. They offer both morning and afternoon dives with the morning pick up being around 7:50am and the afternoon pick up around 1:00pm.
Speedboat Rides - Powerboat Adventures
This is more than just a ride, it is an adventure! Step on board one of their two custom built offshore powerboats for an exhilarating one-hour high-speed boat ride to the dreamy Exuma cays some 38 nautical miles away from Nassau. Hold on tight and feel the rush of wind in your hair as our boats slice through the crystal clear Bahamian waters at 40mph and above to take you to your destination for the day. Pulling in to the secluded Allan's Cay you will meet the first of our neighbors as we pause to provide a tasty breakfast for the protected Allen's Cay Rock Iguana. A few photo opportunities with these amazing and ancient creatures along with a handful of grapes as payment for their time, and you are ready to launch the boats back into high-speed for the trademark Miami Vice Boat ride up to your own private and secluded island paradise, Ship Channel Cay.
For the thirsty, there is a full bar open to keep you refreshed all day. Stocked with liquor, wines, beers, sodas, juice and plain old water we have something for every taste, and, of course... it's all free.
The Bahamas is renowned for it's lively and beautiful reef areas, and Ship Channel Cay is no exception. For those who wish to try a spot of snorkeling, there is an amazing drift snorkel just a few meters from the shoreline. If you've never snorkeled before, don't worry, they will provide you with fins, masks, snorkels and a lesson or two. The guides will be with you every kick of the way - just make sure you don't miss out on this incredible chance to experience nature at its most beautiful.
While you get to meet our friendly stingrays, not so friendly sharks, and experience the wonders of the reef, the island chef's are busy cooking up our secret island dishes such as grilled fish and steaks, pasta and vegetables, hot dogs, salads, tropical fruit platters, cheese platters and more. You’re sure to find something to delight your taste buds. And of course, you'll need a drink to wash it down with. Our open bar remains this way till it's time to leave - they are delighted to serve you wine, liquor, beers, juices, sodas or just a simple water whenever you feel the urge.
