Beach Options on Half Moon Cay
Island Adventures Await
Half Moon Cay invites cruisers to enjoy balmy tropical weather, relaxation and recreation on a Bahamian oasis with something for everyone. Be sure and bring your beach towel from your stateroom with you as they are not available on the island. After tendering to Half Moon Cay you can use your Sail & Sign for most retail transactions on the island. There is one main beach on Half Moon Cay but there are also some other beach options around the island that are just more difficult to get to. The beach area closest to the ship is more crowded than the area past the cabanas where the beach areas offer more peace, quiet and seclusion. Wherever you go, don't forget the sunscreen!!
Lifeguards are on duty along the beach to keep everyone safe in the swimming area. They are available to provide guidance, assist with safety concerns and help out when needed.
Cabanas
At about $319 per day for up to 4 people the cabanas get you out of the sun, if you want a break from it, they include an air conditioned cabana with table and chairs, lounge chairs, snacks and drinks, refrigerator, ceiling fan, misting fan, snorkel equipment, floating mats and your own personal outdoor shower. Enjoy your own personal space and area to relax in comfort. You can even opt for an optional butler service for those that want complete relaxation and pampering. Beach Villa
Enjoy the ultimate luxury beach day in a deluxe two-story beach villa while visiting Half Moon Cay. Beach Villas are also denoted as Cabanas along the beach on the map on our At The Port page.
For your comfort, you will find your villa outfitted with air-conditioning, a 5 person capacity hot tub, refrigerator, ceiling fan, air conditioner, dining area with table and chairs inside, misting shower, and private sun deck. You also have your own hammock on the side of the Villa.
On the second floor there are chaise lounges in addition to the dining room table and chairs. Both floors have a high top table and 2 chairs. There are unobstructed views from all locations. All cabanas have a wide variety of local art which varies from wooden sculptures to water features. Villas D and E are wheelchair accessible throughout the first floor and restroom area.
You will be provided with fresh fruit, vegetables and dip, chips and salsa to snack on throughout the day along with an assortment of soft drinks and bottled water to quench your thirst.
Floating mats and snorkel gear are also included to use throughout your stay.
The Beach Villa price is $550 for up to 8 people, with each extra guest costs $50 per person up to a maximum of 8 people.
Private Oasis
Looking to escape from all of that and enjoy the quiet relaxation your own private oasis? Enjoy your day on Half Moon Cay with family and friends in your own Private Oasis, an exclusive 1,620 square foot grand cabana.
Perched on a point partially over the water near the Half Moon Saloon with a walkway into the crystal clear turquoise water, this grand cabana offers a large covered deck and comfortable sun deck with an eight-person hot tub.
Features include a barbecue area, full wet bar and refrigerator, indoor teak dining table seating six people, outdoor teak lounges and bar stools for 12, iPod music system, multi-colored Bahamian tapestries, men’s and women’s changing rooms, indoor and outdoor showers with heated fresh water, 100-foot walkway with misting stations and privacy gate.
Your package includes the services of a butler, personal chef, bartender, cabana Steward, and lifeguard along with the following:
Whole fresh fruits, chips & salsa.
A beverage package is included with Domestic and Imported beers; house pouring 'wine by the glass' (Red, White and White Zinfandel); Cocktails (Bahama Mama, Rum Punch, and Yellow Bird); frozen tropical classics (Pina Colada, Strawberry Daiquiri, Banana Colada, Margarita); mocktails (Virgin Pina Colada, Virgin Strawberry Daiquiri, Virgin Banana Colada).
BBQ Lunch Buffet with selection of two salads, grilled hamburgers, hot dogs, fresh island fish, barbecued chicken, brownies and cookies.
The cost for the Private Oasis Cabana is $1596 for up to 12 people, and $100 for each additional person up to a maximum of 24 people. You can also arrange to have your own personal masseuse for the day for an additional fee.
Clamshell
If you enjoy a quiet day on the beach without the partying and noise and enjoy a little extra shade then this is the place for you. $20 gets you a private clamshell that provides shade for two beach lounge chairs. Booking a clamshell must be done after boarding the ship through the shore excursions desk and they are first come first served with limited quantities. Get one before they are gone to be able to escape the sun on Half Moon Cay!
Secret Hammocks…
If you walk northwest towards the equestrian area show on our At The Port page map you will find a few hammocks hidden in the trees that offer some peace and seclusion from the busyness and crowds along the main beach. There is shade and some beach chairs available as well. Let’s keep this our little secret though or someone else will beat us to them!!
