At The Port - Freeport

Freeport Harbor is mainly an industrial port serving as the center of the shipping commerce and industry for Grand Bahama Island.  This also means that there is not much at the port for cruise tourists to do or see.  The majority of sites, attractions and excursions are further than walking distance from the port.  There are a few souvenir shops and a small straw market located at the port where the cruise ships dock but for the most part the items can be found elsewhere especially if you are going to the Port Lucaya Marketplace or other larger ports-of-call (where they will most likely be found for a better deal).   Anything you want to do other than this you will need to use either a taxi, van or rent a car.
